Maghera Community Walled Garden

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The contract was for the provision of a formal Victorian style inspired community garden with modern interpretations. Works involved:

• Restoration of a former walled garden including the construction of a timber potting shed and compost shelter
• Brick office/toilet
• Glass greenhouse
• An outdoor stage/teaching area
• The creation of paths
• Extensive flower/shrub beds and trees
• Ornamental and vegetable planters
• Associated hard and soft landscaping
• Electrical and water supplies

JPM Contracts Ltd was presented the William Keown Trust Access Award for the works undertaken at Maghera Community Walled Garden.   We were delighted to receive this prestigious award in recognition of the team’s contribution to providing an accessible user-friendly environment for everyone in the community.

Maghera Walled Garden won prestigious Green Flag Award. This award sets an international benchmark standard for the management of parks and green spaces.
