Restoration of Pump Chamber and Tunnel, Antrim Castle Gardens

Works has begun at Antrim Castle Gardens conservation area to restore the existing Pump Chamber and Tunnel for Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council.

This contract involves the restoration of the pump chamber and tunnels, the erection of a 1.2m high natural stone wall with castellations around the pumping house with a glass top roof for viewing. We are also repairing the fabric of the building structure around the area of the entrances and the access stairs.
On completion, this tunnel will have featured lighting and allow guided access unto the Pleasure Gardens.
